Senior Art Director/Designer
Senior Art Director & Designer: SaaS Experience
The Role
Reverb Factory is an elite, fast-moving agency for brands that refuse to be generic. We are currently preparing to launch a single, high-growth SaaS brand with a singular ambition: to become the "Nike" of its category. We don’t want software marketing; we want a cultural movement.
We have the clients and the momentum. What we need is a heavy-hitting Senior Art Director/Designer who can handle high-level visual strategy and the day-to-day execution of a significant, rapid launch. This isn't a role for someone who needs a 20-page creative brief. This is for the creative who can grab the highlights, find the spark, and run with it.
What You’ll Be Doing
● The Visual Blueprint: Taking raw product features and turning them into a high-impact visual narrative across social, email, web, and advertising.
● Strategic Design: Ensuring every pixel serves a business goal. You aren’t just making things "look good"; you’re solving problems and architecting a new market leader.
● Creative Autonomy: You will be expected to "PM yourself". From initial concept to the final polished deliverable, you own the workflow and the timeline.
● Editorial Collaboration: Working alongside writers to ensure the visual direction and the copy are perfectly locked.
Who You Are
● An Entrepreneurial Creative: You thrive in startup environments. You don’t wait for permission or a process—you create them. You’re here to build great things, not just "complete tasks".
● Self-Sufficient: You are a veteran of the freelance life. You know how to manage your own capacity and deliver "client-ready" work on the first pass.
● Comfortable with Chaos: Reverb Factory is growing fast. You aren’t bothered by shifting priorities or the absence of "traditional" agency layers.
● Modern Tech Aesthetics: You’ve worked with SaaS or Fintech brands and know how to make software feel premium, aspirational, and "Nike-level."
● Multi-Channel Fluency: You are equally comfortable designing a high-converting mobile ad, a complex web interface, and a brand deck.
● A Master of Visual Identity & Systems Thinking: You don't just design pages; you design systems that can scale as the brand grows.
● 10+ Years of Brand Building: You have a portfolio that proves you can build a visual identity from scratch, not just "flesh out" someone else's style guide.
The Reality: High Ambition, Low Bureaucracy
Let’s be direct: We aren’t a global holding company with bottomless overhead, "safe" budgets, or bloated corporate retainers. We are a lean, high-velocity strike team. If you’re looking for a comfortable pace and the inflated rates of a legacy firm, we aren’t the fit. We’re fair, but not inflated.
What we offer is a trade. We’ve removed the "bureaucracy tax"—the endless meetings, the layers of approval, and the political friction—and replaced it with unfiltered creative ownership. You won’t just be a "resource" on a spreadsheet; you’ll be the visual lead behind a category-defining launch. For the right person, the chance to build a "Nike-level" brand from the studs up is the real ROI.
The Long Game
● Leadership Potential: Bonus points if you have experience managing a creative team. There is a significant opportunity here to step into a Creative Director role, overseeing the work and the team long-term.
● Team Integration: We are looking for more than just a one-off freelancer. This is an opportunity to work on additional strategic brands and eventually become a full-time, full-fledged member of the Reverb Factory team.
Why Reverb Factory?
You won’t find a Reverb Factory website or a polished Instagram feed. We don’t exist for the public; we exist for our clients. We operate in stealth mode because our work speaks for itself where it matters most—in the market. If you need a company handbook and a 'Meet the Team' page to feel secure, this isn't the right fit. If you want to be part of the reason we eventually do need a website, let's talk.
We’re a small, elite team doing big-agency work at startup speed. If you’re looking to get in on the ground floor, influence the direction of a growing agency, and skip the political layers of a massive firm, we want to talk.
How to Apply
We value your time, so skip the cover letter. Please answer these three questions:
1. The SaaS Portfolio: Which SaaS brands have you worked on, and how did you visually differentiate them from the "sea of sameness" in tech?
2. The "Nike" Challenge: Give us an example of a "boring" product or service you transformed into an aspirational brand. How did you find the visual hook?
3. The Independent Operator: Tell us about a time you had to lead a project from concept to delivery with zero project management support.
P.S. We’re also looking for Copywriters. If you work with a partner who can match this level of ambition, pass this along.
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
Experience:
• SaaS: 1 year (Preferred)
• Art Director: 1 year (Preferred)
• Art Designer: 1 year (Preferred)
• Brand Building: 1 year (Preferred)
