About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join our Vision Products Group (VPG) and help us develop applications for spatial computing that will delight, inspire, and engage millions of people. As a senior member of our team, you'll work on some of Apple's most cutting-edge technologies, including Spatial Computing and AR/VR. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Human Interface design, to define and demonstrate new application concepts and UX principles. Key Responsibilities: Develop applications for spatial computing that showcase Apple's innovative technologies Collaborate with designers, engineers, and architects to define and demonstrate new application concepts and UX principles Work on rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development to test the feasibility of ideas and technologies Contribute to the development of 3D models and applications that push the boundaries of spatial computing Work closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to ensure seamless integration of applications with Apple's ecosystem Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to spatial computing and AR/VR development Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in spatial computing, AR/VR, and related technologies Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on 3D applications, AR/VR, or related fields Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Objective-C, Swift, or similar Experience with rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept development Strong understanding of 3D math and linear algebra Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing 3D or AR/VR applications or games Familiarity with iOS systems, such as ARKit, UIKit, Metal, Core Motion, or similar Experience with other AR SDKs like ARCore, Vuforia, or similar tools Proficiency with Unity, Unreal, or similar 3D engines Knowledge of game or distributed networking Experience working with 3D modeling and animation tools like Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or similar What We Offer Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary: $25-$35/hour Opportunities for career growth and professional development Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off Flexible work arrangements, including remote work options Access to cutting-edge technologies and tools Collaborative and dynamic work environment Why Join Apple?
