As a Security Professional Armed Defense Patrols in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a leading aerospace and defense location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry a firearm and operate a vehicle as part of your daily duties. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. What You'll Do:


Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education

Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams

Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service

Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise


Responsibilities:


Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the location.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or drills.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies, including those involving hazardous materials or sensitive equipment.
Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:


Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
Possess a valid firearms permit. Preference will be given to candidates with a valid firearms permit.
Preference will be given to candidates with current CPR and First Aid certification.
A valid driver's license is required and candidates must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements for driving positions only.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
