SAP ABAP Developer (RAP & Fiori) – Contract Opportunity - U.S. Citizens ONLY

Location: Remote (United States)

Contract Type: Long-term contract (initial term with strong likelihood of extension up to 4 years)

Overview

We are supporting a Fortune 250 organisation on a large-scale SAP transformation programme and are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and Fiori/UI5 expertise.

This is a long-term contract opportunity offering the chance to work on cutting-edge S/4HANA development within a highly visible, enterprise-wide programme. The role is fully remote within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP solutions in an S/4HANA environment
• Build and enhance applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP)
• Develop and extend SAP Fiori applications (including Fiori Elements and SAPUI5)
• Create and consume OData services to support UI and system integrations
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities
• Contribute to best practices around modern SAP development (clean core, extensibility, etc.)

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
• Hands-on experience with RAP / RESTful ABAP Programming Model
• Proven track record developing SAP Fiori applications (SAPUI5 / Fiori Elements)
• Experience with OData services (V2/V4)
• Solid understanding of S/4HANA architecture and development principles
• Experience working in agile or large-scale transformation programmes

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to BTP (Business Technology Platform)
• Experience with CDS Views and annotations
• Background working within regulated or complex industries (e.g., aerospace, defence, manufacturing)
• Familiarity with Clean Core / extensibility frameworks
