Lead Data and Financial Reporting - Senior Consultant

Here is the Role: The Senior Consultant will support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Direct Care Financial Management (DCFM) in financial application database management, data reporting, and business intelligence analysis. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot to handle ad hoc data requests, and leads or mentors team members to deliver consistent, accurate results. Education Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field Your Responsibilities: • Lead and coordinate data analysis and reporting efforts within DCFM, ensuring data integrity and timely delivery • Manage and mentor analysts supporting database and reporting initiatives • Handle ad hoc data requests, building quick-turn analyses and visualizations for decision-makers • Develop, maintain, and enhance databases to meet evolving reporting requirements • Extract and analyze data from financial systems (e.g., GFEBS) to support briefings, audits, and strategic decisions • Coordinate and track data calls across teams and leadership groups • Prepare financial and accounting system reports to support executive decision-making • Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences • Perform other duties as assigned Skillset Requirements: • Prior experience with GFEBS, DEAMS, or similar ERP financial systems • 3+ years of experience with financial reporting and/or data analytics • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling) • Experience using Power BI, SQL, or similar data tools strongly preferred • Demonstrated ability to manage or lead a team, including coaching and workload management • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills What do you get: • Medical/Dental/Vision • 401K (up to 5% match) • 11 Paid Holidays • 4-5 weeks PTO (depending on level) • Bonus Incentives • Professional Development • Telework • Continuing Education Credit Culture Statement: At JS Perkins Consulting, we believe our people are the foundation of our success.
