Revenue Cycle AR Collections Specialist

Spectrum Billing Solutions is an industry-leading revenue cycle management company for healthcare organizations. We are looking to add a passionate and skilled Revenue Cycle AR Collections Specialist to our growing team. The ideal candidate will use their skills and knowledge to ensure optimal reimbursement by performing insurance collections. This role includes all aspects of revenue cycle collections including denial management, appeals, reimbursement rate negotiation, and accounts receivable collections.

This is a remote or home/office hybrid position.

Responsibilities:
• Research and resolve insurance denials
• File appeals on denied or underpaid claims
• Check claim status on appropriate payor systems and contact insurances as needed
• Send Medical Records and other documentation to payors as requested
• Follow up with patients and payors for payments
• Negotiate out-of-network reimbursement rates with insurances
• Review of Accounts Receivable Aging reports
• Meet daily, monthly, and quarterly billing metrics

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in healthcare billing and collections
• Experience in all aspects of Revenue Cycle Management
• Experience in Behavioral and/or Mental Health billing preferred
• Knowledge of Commercial Insurance and Government Payor guidelines
• Understanding of insurance benefits and reimbursement
• Proficient in medical terminology, HIPAA and other critical governmental regulations
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to comprehend various insurance documentation, analyze and reconcile accounts and follow detailed procedures in an organized and efficient manner
• Superior communication, problem-solving and follow-up skills
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, billing software)
