Who You Are

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude toward customer service to act a Janitor for our resident facilities. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate while maintaining relationship with staff and residents. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Summary

The purpose of this position is to foster relationships with residents, residents’ families, and nursing staff to achieve the highest quality of care within our community. The Lead CNA is a support to Certified Nurse Aids while ensuring compassion and personalized needs are meet to our residents.
• Providing clinical leadership and supervision to a team of Certified Nurse Aids
• Initiating and leading team conferences before, during, and or after shifts.
• Assigning tasks to team members and monitoring progress.
• Communicating clear instructions and managing day-to-day duties.
• Creating and distributing reports to update the Nurse Management on the team’s progress5
• Supporting and guiding newly hired certified nurse aids throughout the first year of hire.
• Routine checks on high quality care to meet individual plan of cares for residents

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 months as a CNA

Excellent communication skills

Education And/or Experience
• Minimum current State of Texas Nurse Assistant Certification. One year of experience working as a Certified Nurse Assistant including some medical/surgical experience and awareness of the needs of geriatric residents.

Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interrupt human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills
• Ability to calculate figures related to amounts such as percentages and area.

Reasoning Ability
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Licenses, Registration, Certifications
• Current State of Texas license as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.
