MyForest Foods Retail Relations Specialist, Remote Temporary 3-6 month projected, will work with accounts serviced by distributors like UNFI, KeHE, and C&S. This position will grow market share by driving distribution in new accounts. It is an independent and highly collaborative role requiring coordination with cross-functional resources. You will communicate by phone and email with new prospective retailers. You will conduct store audits as needed for the shelf placement of MyBACON. Working with MyForest Foods products and retail store decision-makers, you will leverage relationships and work to become a trusted advisor while increasing MyBACON's sales velocity through creative problem-solving. Responsibilities • Sell in new distribution of MyBACON to qualified stores to generate new business • Recommend placement of MyBACON in the produce department, meat department, or wherever other refrigerated plant-based meat alternatives are sold • Build customer relationships with potential retailers by reaching out via phone calls, emails, or other forms of communication to increase the likelihood of them buying MyBACON • Use Salesforce to maintain a database of current information on new account opportunities as well as existing customers • Communicate quarterly promotion plans to new retailers to drive sales • Contact independent retailers who previously purchased MyBACON but have not ordered in the last 2 months • Track sales progress on a weekly and monthly basis to make sure customer acquisition goals are met • Conduct retail audits as requested to ensure correct placement, merchandising and pricing of MyBACON • Gather competitive information and post it to sales/marketing folder • Build relationships with retail decision makers and work to become a trusted advisor • Attend trade shows as needed • Ability to develop a plan and execute on a daily basis • Deliver sales goals within budget • Promoting company products • Educating customers about products • Increasing brand awareness • Maintaining a positive image of the brand • Work closely with sales and marketing on sales and marketing strategies • Assist with contacting foodservice accounts when needed Qualifications • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree • 2+ Years Sales experience • Understanding of sustainable farming practices • The ability to succeed in a fast-paced and competitive work environment • Strong work ethic with the ability to overcome objections and build trust • Working knowledge of Salesforce software and the sales process • Excellent written and oral communication skills, listening skills, presentation skills, and customer service skills • Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to make safe decisions to get the job done • Independent and highly collaborative role working with cross functional team • Must have reliable transportation to conduct store audits The pay range for this role is based on the candidates' skills and experience.
