Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused leader to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience, overseeing a team of Associates, and leading by example.
ย Create a positive internal and external customer experience
ย Promote a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality
ย Take an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front-end principles
ย Train and coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
ย Assign registers, support, and respond to POS coverage needs, and coordinate breaks for all Associates
ย Address customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
ย Ensure Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritize as needed
ย Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provide progress updates
ย Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback
ย Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
ย Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
ย Promote credit and loyalty programs
ย Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs
ย Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment
ย Other duties as assigned
Requirements
We are looking for someone who:
ย Is available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
ย Has a strong understanding of merchandising techniques
ย Can multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively
ย Has strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
ย Can respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations
ย Is a team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors
ย Can train others
ย Has at least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
