Job Summary As a Restorative Assistant, you will play a vital role in our long-term care team, providing essential support to our residents and nursing staff. You'll assist with personal care, maintenance therapy programs, and activities that promote health, comfort, and functional ability. Your compassion, empathy, and attention to detail will make a positive impact on the lives of our residents, and you'll be an integral part of our team. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct resident care, including personal care, bathing, dressing, and grooming, as outlined in their individualized care plan. Assist with maintenance therapy programs and activities that promote functional ability, comfort, and independence. Collaborate with the nursing staff to assess resident needs, develop care plans, and implement interventions. Complete accurate and timely documentation according to policies, procedures, and regulations. Recognize and report changes in resident condition, and encourage residents to participate in their own care and activities. Participate in departmental meetings, training, and development opportunities to support team growth and facility improvement. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: 1+ year of experience in long-term care, preferably in a restorative or nursing assistant role. Ability to obtain Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification within 120 days of hire, as required by SD state regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required; general studies or related field preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a team-based care environment. Basic knowledge of restorative care principles and practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements: This role requires very heavy work, exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 100 pounds of force occasionally. You will be required to work designated shift lengths, including 8 and 12 hours, which may include night shifts or occasional irregular hours. You will also be exposed to radiation and contaminated needles and infectious body substances.
