Job Description:
Northwestern Medicine is seeking a skilled and compassionate Remote Triage Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Triage RN, you will provide clinically expert virtual triage services, serving as a liaison between patients and their physicians. You will assess presenting problems, utilize evidence-based triage protocols, and develop care advice and next-step recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, functioning as part of a highly effective team that consistently puts Patients First
Establish positive first impressions with patients and customers, establishing a role as patient advocate
Triage incoming telephone calls and electronic messages, prioritizing and resolving, involving the provider as appropriate
Incorporate critical thinking to develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care based on identified patient needs
Document all communications in the electronic medical record and schedule patient visits with providers as necessary
Participate in departmental quality improvement activities and assist in specific process improvement projects
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program
2 years of ambulatory care experience
Registered Nurse License issued by the State of Illinois
Current AHA BLS Provider certification
Preferred: BSN and specialty certification upon eligibility
