Remote - Test Engineer (Java + Selenium + API/UI + ETL Testing + CI/CD)

Job Title: Test Engineer (Java + Selenium + API/UI + ETL Testing + CI/CD) Location: Reston, VA ( Hybrid Once in a Week) Duration: Long term contract Candidates who can work independently are more preferred. Notes: Supporting scrum team and ETL validation Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes. Need to do reports also Designing, developing and automating scripts They are in the process of transformation Developing test strategies review what is given to them from test lead CI/CD pipelines Perform API and UI testing MUST HAVE: Strong with java and python is nice to have Strong with SQL Selinum scripts, playwright is what they use for automation. If someone has Selenium they will know playwright Job Description: We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Scrum Team. The role involves validating ETL processes and MongoDB data changes, designing and maintaining automated test scripts, and ensuring high-quality application delivery through robust testing practices. Responsibilities: Validate ETL processes and MongoDB data changes. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (key) and Playwright. Perform API and UI testing; participate in code reviews and requirements analysis. Build and manage CI/CD pipelines. Generate/manage reports in Jira and contribute to test strategies. Support ongoing software development and participate in peer reviews. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT or 3+ years of software development/testing experience (Java preferred Strong skills in Selenium automation; Playwright is a plus. Programming experience in Java (required); Python & AI tools (preferred Knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cloud (AWS/Azure) and databases (SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Experience with TDD/BDD practices. Understanding of DevOps tools and code quality best practices.
