[Remote] Summer Intern – AI-Based Protein Design

They are seeking a Summer Intern - AI-Based Protein Design to apply AI in the design and optimization of protein therapeutics, gaining hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while contributing to meaningful team projects. Responsibilities Build AI architectures to generate and optimize protein candidates guided by multiple protein properties Develop and implement AI algorithms to predict protein properties, learning from both general data as well as protein target-specific data Curate new datasets for training or fine-tuning AI models Collaborate with computational and experimental colleagues to advance biotherapeutics discovery Effectively present your findings to team members with various backgrounds Skills Current student working on a PhD or MS in computational biology, computational chemistry, computer science, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline Proficiency in Python and general-purpose ML and DL frameworks, such as pytorch; understanding of general AI architectures, such as generative models Basic knowledge of chemistry/biology and protein science Desire to work at the interface of computational and biological sciences Good problem-solving, teamwork and communication abilities Experience with large-scale data cleaning Familiarity with high-performance computing environments and/or cloud computing platforms Benefits Paid company holidays Hands-on learning in real-world projects Networking opportunities with leaders and social events with your peers Mentorship and professional development A final presentation to celebrate your contributions Access to office amenities for those who are not remote Company Overview Insmed is a people-first global biopharmaceutical company striving to deliver first- and best-in-class therapies to transform the lives of patients facing serious diseases.
