[Remote] Software Architect – Application & Platform Engineering

Note:The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Medecision is looking for a hands-on Software Architect who blends strong application development experience with modern architectural design and cloud/platform engineering expertise. This role involves designing scalable systems, leading proof-of-concepts, and providing technical guidance to engineering teams to build high-quality software. Responsibilities • Design and develop scalable and reliable software architectures for complex systems leveraging the bolthires Cloud Platform • Work closely with the development team to design, implement, and test Java-based applications • Design and implement data stores and pipelines to process and analyze large volumes of data • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design solutions that meet their needs • Ensure the security and compliance of software systems by following industry best practices • Mentor and coach development leads and developers • Keep up to date with the latest trends and innovations in technology to drive continuous improvement • Follow and comply with all security policies and procedures established by the organization, including adherence to HIPAA and HITRUST regulations Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 5+ years of experience as a software architect; preferably with experience in cloud platforms like bolthires Cloud, AWS, or Azure • Experience with designing and implementing data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Apache Beam, or cloud-native equivalents • Strong knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas • Experience in healthcare and payer platforms is a plus • Experience working in distributed multi-tenant software products is a plus • bolthires Cloud Platform certification is a plus Company Overview • MEDecision provides collaborative health care management solutions for clients.
