Remote Scrum Master II - Agile Leadership Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master II to join our team in a 100% remote, 12+ month contract position. As a Scrum Master II, you will provide servant-leadership and mentorship to multiple cross-functional agile teams, applying Agile principles and frameworks to drive continuous improvement and high performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize Agile practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP), to foster self-organization, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Coach teams on effective practices, theories, and techniques to support continuous improvement
Visualize, communicate, and radiate team information to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and visibility
Facilitate meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Address blocking issues and provide support to teams, ensuring they remain focused on achieving their goals
Mentor less experienced Scrum Masters and provide guidance on Agile practices
Collaborate with other Agile Leaders to increase the effectiveness of Agile within the organization
Requirements:
4+ years of experience as a member of an agile team, including 2+ years of Scrum Master experience
Advanced skills in Jira, Target Process, reporting, and capacity planning
Experience using Agile in a business environment, preferably Agile Release Train (ART)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Depth of knowledge in at least two technology team roles (project manager, user experience, business analyst, developer, testing, deployment)
Prior experience fostering team self-organization and continuous improvement
Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices
Experience developing/managing digital capabilities
Understanding of Design Thinking principles
