The role involves collecting natural speech from children to improve speech recognition technology for educational settings. Responsibilities • Read a short passage aloud. • Answer a few fun and engaging questions about what they read, just like they would in school! • Have their responses recorded using our easy-to-use mobile app. Skills • Be over 18 years old. • Be the legal guardian of the child(ren) you are registering and sign the Parental Consent Form. • Have a smartphone device to download our app and use it for recording. • Each child you register should be in the 2nd or 3rd grade (typically between ages 7-9). • Each child you register should be a resident of the United States. • Each child you register should be a native speaker of English (US). Benefits • $20 USD for each participant that you refer to the project who successfully completes 3 quality approved tasks.
