About the position

AnewHealth, a leading pharmacy care management company, is seeking dedicated Pharmacy Technicians to join our remote team. This position is crucial in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for receiving electronic prescriptions, managing refill requests, and performing various pharmacy tasks such as counting, mixing, and packaging medications. You will also operate and monitor robotic dispensing machines, ensuring that all processes comply with safety and quality standards. In this role, you will assist in maintaining proper storage and security conditions for medications, manage inventory, and ensure that all stock is rotated to avoid dispensing expired products. You will act as a liaison between our customers and their healthcare providers, handling inquiries and ensuring a positive experience for clients. Additionally, you will establish and maintain patient profiles, documenting medication care plans using our advanced proprietary software system. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of pharmacy operations, and you will participate in quality initiatives to identify areas for improvement. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. You will be expected to work remotely from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday, providing essential support to our pharmacy team and the patients we serve.

Responsibilities
• Receives electronic prescriptions and accurately fills them under the direction of the Pharmacist.

• Handles, counts, mixes, and packages medications as part of pharmacy tasks.

• Selects and imports orders for automation equipment dispensing, labels, and maintains order management.
,
• Operates and monitors robotic machines that dispense medications.
,
• Assists in entering minor edits to record correct dispensing quantity and manufacturer NDC.
,
• Prepares blister packs and stages pharmaceutical supplies for delivery.
,
• Performs reclamation duties and maintains proper storage conditions for drugs.
,
• Cleans and helps maintain equipment and work areas.
,
• Receives, stores, and logs inventory, verifying quantities against invoices and informing supervisors of stock needs.
,
• Acts as a liaison between customers and providers, handling inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
,
• Establishes and maintains patient profiles and documents medication care plans using proprietary software.
,
• Participates in company quality initiatives and reports quality assurance issues.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
,
• Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state of residence.
,
• Must obtain NJ pharmacy technician license within 6 months of hire.
,
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for professional interactions.
,
• Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution.
,
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality.

• Detail-oriented and organized with excellent typing/data entry accuracy.

• Proficient computer skills to navigate pharmacy software.

• Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate, and verify data accurately.

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for counting, measuring, and weighing components.

• Strong listening and reading comprehension skills.
