Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a passionate and creative Remote NGO Social Media Volunteer to help amplify our impact and online presence for various nonprofit and social good initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about making a difference, love storytelling, and are skilled in leveraging digital platforms for awareness and engagement. You will play a key part in supporting meaningful causes through compelling content, community interaction, and social media management — all from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
• *

Create, curate, and manage engaging content across key social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, etc.)
• *

Collaborate with NGO teams to understand ongoing projects, success stories, and awareness campaigns
• *

Schedule posts and maintain a consistent posting calendar using tools like Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite
• *

Monitor social channels, respond to comments/messages, and engage with the online community
• *

Analyze performance metrics and prepare monthly engagement reports to track growth and outreach
• *

Support the design of visuals and banners using Canva or similar platforms
• *

Participate in virtual meetings to align on campaign goals and strategies
• *

Research trending topics in the nonprofit and social justice space to contribute fresh ideas

Excellent written communication and creative storytelling skills

Proficiency in managing social media platforms (Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)

Basic graphic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or similar

Familiarity with scheduling tools and engagement analytics

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting

A strong passion for humanitarian, environmental, or social causes
