Remote Ghostwriter

Autumn House Press is an independent publishing house dedicated to bringing diverse voices and innovative storytelling to the literary world. We are seeking a talented and experienced ghostwriter to join our team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about literature and has a knack for capturing the unique voice and vision of our authors. Job Description: As a Remote Ghostwriter, you will collaborate closely with authors to develop and write manuscripts that align with their ideas, style, and objectives. You will be responsible for transforming concepts into polished, engaging narratives while maintaining the author's voice throughout the writing process. Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with authors to understand their vision, themes, and target audience. • Conduct research as needed to ensure accuracy and depth in the writing. • Create original content based on the author's ideas, outlines, or notes. • Revise and edit drafts based on feedback from authors and editorial staff. • Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Maintain confidentiality regarding all projects and authors. Qualifications: • Proven experience as a ghostwriter, freelance writer, or in a similar role. • Strong writing skills with a portfolio showcasing a range of styles and genres. • Ability to adapt to different voices and tones while maintaining the author's intent. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with the publishing industry is a plus.
