[Remote] Functional QA : SQL/API

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cognizant is seeking a Functional QA Tester specializing in SQL and API testing. The role involves ensuring software quality through comprehensive manual testing and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities
• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute manual and automated test cases and analyze results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams and help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release and post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Skills
• 5 – 7 yrs. of QA experience
• Strong knowledge of API testing using Postman
• Proficiency in SQL, including writing simple to complex joins
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Hands-on experience with JIRA for writing test cases, test execution, and raising bugs
• Solid understanding of functional testing concepts
• Knowledge of automation concepts
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
