The Field Marketing Specialist will engage with consumers and retail partners to enhance brand awareness, execute marketing strategies, and foster community relationships. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a passion for running culture.ResponsibilitiesBuild an understanding of global marketing platforms and find dynamic ways to execute them on a local levelWith retail partners, create and implement in store events to enhance local brand awareness and drive consumer love that align with the brands global brand platform and seasonal launchesDevelop communication strategies to drive attendance and participation at eventsCollaborate with running clubs, non-profit organizations and brand ambassadors to engage the community and promote brand perceptionBuild strong retail partnerships through consistent follow through and constant and open communication with store leadership and staffLead and bring to life cultural moments in the footwear industryIncrease store associatesâ confidence and understanding of the brand and product knowledge through group and one-on-one staff training sessionsHelp create ideal in-store environment based on global merchandising guidelines in key accountsSecure best placement and visibility for point-of-sale assets and ensure in-store assets align with global calendarCraft genuine social media content to enhance the brand´s community-oriented approach through digital platformsBoost the community database through the implementation of tailored customer acquisition strategiesMaintain an open line of communication with the Marketing, Sales, and Product teams and deliver weekly and monthly reporting as assignedPlan and follow your own work schedule, including daily store visits, retail/ community events, office time and regional events as needed. Must meet and track regional weekly requirementsMaintain and track monthly travel and marketing budgets; submit monthly or quarterly reports to Field Marketing LeadPerforms duties consistent with the Companyâs AAP/EEO goals and policiesPerforms other duties as required/assigned by managerSkillsBachelor's degree is recommended1+ years of Marketing or Sales experienceCultural enthusiast with a passion for being a trendsetterMerchandising experienceEnthusiasm and passion for the sport of running, with a personal connection to running cultureRetail Experience, ideally in running and athletic footwear and apparel industryWorking knowledge of both Saucony and competitor productsRobust background in event planning; self-starter and possessing a strong entrepreneurial spiritStrong organization, prioritization and time management skills are necessary as you will be working remote within your local community and will be responsible for your own scheduleAbility to manage multiple ongoing projects with different teams and partners and maintain a high level of organization throughoutMaintain peak professionalism in daily interactions with retailers and consumers across a range of channels and be adaptable to varying needs and expectations in those channelsMust be comfortable, confident and engaging when presenting to groups large and small and be able to communicate clearly in person and via emailHave sharp attention to detailMust be able to meet strict and sometimes short deadlinesMust be willing and able to work on nights and weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) due to retail promotions and events is expected and requiredIncludes frequent overnight travel within your territory and regionStrong PC/tablet skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, database management, report creation, internet applications, and social mediaMust have a valid driver's license in good standing; 80% of the job is on-the-road travelA professional background in crafting social media content is a plus!Company OverviewSaucony's first factory was founded in 1898 at Kutztow It was founded in 1898, and is headquartered in Lexington, Massachusetts, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
