Remote Executive Assistant to the Chief People Officer

Job DescriptionZendesk is seeking a powerhouse Executive Assistant to support our future-facing Chief People Officer. This is not your typical EA role—this is your opportunity to work alongside a visionary executive who expects excellence, precision, and edge at every turn.Working closely with the Office of the CPO, you will ensure flawless execution across meetings, communications, and key priorities. From managing high-impact administrative deliverables to mastering logistics with elegance and efficiency, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our People Leadership Team moving at the speed of the business.You bring energy. You’re also grounded in integrity, discretion, and professionalism, knowing exactly when to push forward and when to hold the line.This role reports into the Office of the CPO, providing you with a rare lens into strategic business operations, executive decision-making, and the chance to sharpen your skills through special projects. You’ll also provide high-level administrative support to 2-3 additional senior level VPs.What You'll Own:Act as the gatekeeper and air traffic controller for the CPO—managing calendars, prioritizing time, and protecting focusManage and elevate communications on behalf of the CPO, ensuring tone, timing, and professionalism across the boardOrchestrate key internal meetings across The People Team—All Hands, leadership off-sites, summits, and more—with meticulous attention to detailLead logistics end-to-end: agendas, invites, presentations, catering, notes, follow-ups—you own it allHandle all travel, expenses, and budget-conscious planning with zero drama and total efficiencyProject manage special assignmentsCollaborate seamlessly with a network of executive assistants to align schedules, meetings, and team operationsBe the connective tissue across leadership, teams, and departments—creating clarity, driving alignment, and keeping things movingMaintain the utmost confidentiality with grace, care, and ethical clarity—alwaysWhat You Bring:5+ years of EA experience in high-growth tech or SaaS, including 3+ years supporting C-suite executivesExperience partnering with HR or People functions a strong plusA lightning-fast sense of urgency, and the ability to stay cool, calm, and collected under pressureHigh-level EQ with top-tier organizational, time management, and communication skillsImpeccable judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive topicsExceptional multitasking ability—you’re a master of juggling and re-prioritizing on the flyFlexibility for after-hours needs or travel-related support—this role doesn’t clock out when impact is on the linePolished, warm, and highly approachable—you’re the go-to for getting things doneDeep knowledge of Google Workspace tools and digital collaboration platformsBA/BS degree preferredIf you're looking for a seat at the table with a visionary People leader—and you’re ready to match their pace and precision—this is your role. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location.
