[Remote] ECAD Librarian/PCB Designer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GeoLogics Corporation is seeking an ECAD Librarian and PCB Designer for Undersea Systems. In this role, you will support the development of electronics for high reliability undersea communication systems, utilizing various PCB design tools and library management practices. Responsibilities • Support CCA development for electronics used in high reliability undersea communication systems • Using Mentor Graphics Xpedition • Library management practices • ECAD/PCB layout design processes • Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition. DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx),or Altium • Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx • Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience • Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards • In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques • Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages • Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable • Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation) Skills • US Citizenship REQUIRED • Actie Secret Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain a clearance (Must be a US Citizen) • Knowledge of one or more PCB design tools from the Mentor Graphics suite (xDM, Xpedition, DXdatabook, BoardStation, Hyperlynx), or Altium • Experience with library management practices including Xpedition parts request system, Footprint Expert Enterprise 23, 3D model creation using Solidworks NX or CREO, and Hyperlynx • Circuit design and hands on prototyping experience • Basic knowledge of IPC and manufacturing standards • In depth knowledge of CCA fabrication techniques • Ability to communicate with suppliers when asked to provide clarification on design documentation packages • Experience with schematic capture in Xpedition is valuable • Documentation capture including (bill of material parts lists, ODB++ digital fabrication packages, 3D model generation) • Associate’s degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience • A minimum of two years’ experience using Mentor Graphics Xpedition • Experience with library management practices • Experience with ECAD/PCB layout design processes Benefits • No health benefits while on contract Company Overview • GeoLogics is a 30 year old high-technology and technical services company headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, with regional offices in Alabama, Maryland, South Carolina, Colorado, Texas, California, and Massachusetts.
