[Remote] Data Science Intern (Undergraduate - Summer)

Responsibilities • Assist in the development of PowerBI dashboards for data reporting • Including gathering and organizing requirements, data modeling, data query specification, and some degree of backend and UI development assistance • Be involved in data mining, data architecture, and application building • Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects • Communicate project status and results to staff mentors and management Skills • Experience with SQL, R, or Python • Experience with BI tools such as Microsoft PowerBi and ETL process • Have ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy under pressure and fast-paced environment Education Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period Benefits • Health insurance • 401(k) • Stock purchase plans • Tuition reimbursement • Paid time off plus holidays • A flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field, or office work schedules Company Overview • Health Net provides health care coverage across California to over 3 million members, regardless of stage of life and socioeconomic status.
