[Remote] Data Abstract RN

The Data Abstractor RN is responsible for collecting and analyzing patient information related to quality measures, conducting medical record reviews, and maintaining databases to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Collecting information, analyzing and completing abstracts related to patients within specific quality measure populations
ā¢ Conducting retrospective and applicable concurrent medical record reviews
ā¢ Maintaining internal and external databases, ensuring all appropriate data is entered in a timely manner
ā¢ Maintaining understanding of both measure requirements and clinical workflows to ensure accuracy and completeness of information
ā¢ Identifying opportunities for both process and quality improvements and serving as a subject matter expert in organizational quality improvement initiatives
ā¢ Providing clinical knowledge, expertise and guidance to non-RN abstractors
Skills
ā¢ Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems
ā¢ Ability to interpret clinical data and understand clinical procedures and terminology
ā¢ Current state license registration as an RN (Illinois)
ā¢ Epic experience; Previous surgery, vascular, or procedural area
ā¢ Prior experience working with clinical quality measures and registries
ā¢ Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
ā¢ Awareness of the principles and fundamentals related to Performance Improvement
