[Remote] Cybersecurity & Technology Fellow, Bloomberg Associates

The Fellow will conduct research and data analysis to inform municipal cybersecurity engagements with client cities, supporting the preparation of deliverables and participating in client meetings.ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough research on municipal cybersecurity and technology topics, including but not limited to ransomware, artificial intelligence, smart cities, and government regulationPerform research on publicly available information, including city technology department budgets, staffing models, and strategic plansSupport the preparation of client deliverables, including memos, reports, PowerPoint decks, and spreadsheetsParticipate in and support client meetings through note-taking, action tracking, and preparation of materialsDraft best practice guides on additional topics relating to cybersecurity and technologyContribute to the development of reusable tools, templates, and guidance documents for use across client citiesSynthesize insights across client engagements to identify common challenges, trends, and emerging best practicesSkillsCurrently enrolled in or recently completed a graduate program (or equivalent academic experience) in cybersecurity, information systems, public policy, or a related fieldStrong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals (threats, vulnerabilities, risk mitigation)Demonstrated interest in technology through coursework, research, projects, or internshipsAbility to work independently in a remote, small-team environment with strong ownership and initiativeHigh attention to detailComfort working with data in Excel and preparing presentations in PowerPointAbility to translate complex information into clear, concise written and visual materialsGenuine interest in municipal government and public serviceCompany OverviewWorks primarily to advance five areas globally: the Arts, Education, the Environment, Government Innovation and Public Health.
