Remote Customer Support Representative - Make a Difference in People's Lives
Job Overview:
We're seeking a compassionate and patient Remote Customer Support Representative to provide essential support to individuals enrolling in public benefit programs. Key Responsibilities:
Answer inbound calls and interact with customers in a professional, empathetic, and compassionate manner
Provide information and assistance with program enrollment, adhering to established policies, procedures, and privacy laws
Route customers to appropriate contacts via three-way calls, ensuring a seamless transfer of information
Assist customers with communication needs, such as relay services for callers with speech or hearing impairments, and translation services for non-English speakers
Place outbound calls as needed to share time-sensitive information with customers
Utilize multiple computer systems to access data and document information
About You:
To excel in this role, you should have:
At least one year of customer service experience, with knowledge of public benefit programs and health or human services experience being a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with great active listening and attention to detail
Strong PC skills, including the ability to quickly learn new computer applications
A positive attitude, empathy, patience, and professionalism, with strong multitasking skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Good problem-solving and de-escalation skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Home Office Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A computer meeting specific criteria, including Windows 10 or 11, 8GB of RAM, and a sound card
Up-to-date antivirus software and access to high-speed, hardwired internet
Dual monitors, a USB noise-cancelling headset, and a webcam for certification purposes
