[Remote] Contract Opportunity: Math Professional Learning Facilitator

They are seeking experienced math professional learning facilitators to support the School District of Philadelphia's 'Accelerate Philly' initiative by facilitating professional learning sessions for teachers and leaders focused on enhancing mathematical instruction. Responsibilities • Facilitate professional learning sessions for teachers and leaders on the with a focus on: • The role of the Teacher and Students in the Problem-based Teaching & Learning Cycle • Exploring the 'CRA' model and the importance of building students' conceptual understanding • Planning Questions and Scaffolds for unfinished teaching and learning Skills • Strong knowledge of K–8 math content and classroom instructional practices • Prior experience facilitating adult professional learning sessions • Effective communication, time management, and organizational skills • Comfortable facilitating in-person sessions in Philadelphia, PA Benefits • $1,000 travel stipend covers a 1-night, 2-day trip • Additional $300 stipend if the facilitator is required to stay past 5:00 p.m. on the second day Company Overview • Leading Educators is an educational management company that specializes in school-based professional learning programs.
