Job Summary We are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to work remotely on a full-time basis. As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, including automation, pipeline development, and cloud capabilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of a reusable and secure cloud infrastructure that meets business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure, including automation, pipeline development, and cloud capabilities Collaborate with application, security, and engineering teams to develop a reusable and secure cloud infrastructure Stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply knowledge to continuously improve and evolve the cloud platform Develop and implement automation tools and frameworks for code deployment (CI/CD) Lead the design, development, and implementation of cloud infrastructure Establish and adhere to standards and guidelines to ensure high-quality work Prioritize work and drive projects to completion Communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions that address business challenges and opportunities Act as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with teams to ensure best practices Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery processes Participate in system and acceptance testing to ensure that systems are functional, technically sound, and well-integrated Test and implement system upgrades and changes using procedures that protect system integrity Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Middle to senior-level experience in Cloud computing or DevOps Knowledge of AWS Framework as a Service Experience with automation tools like CloudFormation Knowledge of infrastructure as-code (IAC) Skilled in configuration management using Docker for containerization Experience with monitoring tools Ability to mentor and guide colleagues' learning and development Ability to anticipate business needs and lead a team toward identifying and solving cross-functional issues Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Gradle, Sweet, and YML Knowledge of Docker, Serverless, ECS, Kubernetes, and Artifactory Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Bamboo Knowledge of deployment management tools like Chef, Puppet, or Ansible Work Environment and Culture Southwest Airlines is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
