[Remote] Advanced Cyber Security Architect/Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The role of Network Security Engineer involves overseeing perimeter security technologies, identifying potential risks, and ensuring seamless service delivery across interconnected infrastructure.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Performing the installation and configuration of hardware/software, the management of IT infrastructure projects and components, and the monitoring and support of these services (including all operational processes, procedures and diagrams)
ā¢ Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve the infrastructure and documenting all activities
ā¢ Daily interaction with customers and other IT personnel
ā¢ Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation
Skills
ā¢ 3 years direct experience in Information Technology
ā¢ 3 years firewall, proxy and network operations/installation experience
ā¢ 1 years datacenter firewall design/deployment experience
ā¢ 1 years experience with enterprise public (Azure / AWS) or Private (NSX) cloud platforms
ā¢ Experience with Zscaler and/or Zero-Trust solutions
ā¢ Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another related field
ā¢ Educational background with a focus on Technology or IT desirable
ā¢ Enterprise datacenter firewall, proxy and network operations skills
ā¢ TCP/IP troubleshooting
ā¢ Experienced in developing and incorporating security into network designs and leading POC/pilots for emerging technology
ā¢ Strong communication skills to work with a collaborative cross-functional team of peers and departments within the company
ā¢ Experience with programming / scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, VB, C#, Ruby, Python, Terraform) is very beneficial
ā¢ Expert troubleshooting skills - able to combine big-picture thinking with tactical directions
ā¢ Familiar with the Purdue PCN modular architecture
ā¢ Basic troubleshooting skills on Linux and Windows
ā¢ Basic knowledge of server/desktop/laptop, hardware/software installation, troubleshooting and repair
ā¢ Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
ā¢ Working under pressure and adapting to a rapidly changing environment
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ā¢ A sense of urgency, in a crisis situation
ā¢ Knowledge and experience in monitoring tools and reports, general Windows Active Directory or LDAP experience, stored procedures and database queries/reporting and backup/recovery technology is a plus
