About the position As a Remote 2nd Level IP Coder/Reviewer at AMN Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in health information management, specifically focusing on coding for inpatient services. Responsibilities • Review and code inpatient medical records accurately and efficiently. • Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation as needed. • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives. • Stay updated on coding changes and updates in regulations. Requirements • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient coding. • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Nice-to-haves • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Familiarity with coding software and tools. • Previous experience in a remote coding position.
