Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) – 1:1 School-Based Role (Springfield, PA | 2025–2026 School Year)
Blazer Jobs is partnering with a supportive school district in Springfield, Pennsylvania to hire a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, school-based position for the 2025–2026 academic year. This unique opportunity involves providing 1:1 care to a student in a special education setting, including riding the school bus to and from school to ensure safe, continuous medical support throughout the day.
Position Details:
• Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Springfield, PA
• Schedule: Full-Time | 2025–2026 School Year
• Setting: 1:1 Special Education Support (bus ride included)
• Contract Type: School Year Contract
Required Credentials (State of Pennsylvania):
To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Active RN license issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Up-to-date clearances required by Pennsylvania school systems, including:
• Pennsylvania Criminal Background Check
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
• Strong preference for candidates with at least one year of nursing experience, especially in pediatric, school-based, or special needs settings
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct medical care and monitoring to an assigned student throughout the school day
• Ride the school bus with the student to ensure safety and medical oversight during transportation
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency care in accordance with physician orders and school policies
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
• Communicate regularly with the school team, medical professionals, and family members
• Support the overall health and wellness of the student within the classroom and school environment
