Role: BI Engineer Location: Remote - EST working time Experience : 8+ years Insurance domain is must Contract Role Job description: Role Overview: • We are looking for a go-getter person who can understand and define (as required): • Analytic strategies to meet the demands of business requirements • Technical requirements of the analytic solutions • Data requirements of the analytic solution processes • He/ She will work with different stakeholders as SME for insight generation, data quality and testing and dashboard development/enhancement • Engages in technical problem solving across multiple technologies; often needs to develop new solutions • A typical workday will involve working with stakeholders in individual contributor role • Individual will source data from multiple sources, manipulate and prepare data and run scripts to update visualization and data sets. • Individual will need to develop visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI • Connect Power BI / Visualization tool to different data sources, import data and transform data appropriate for the business problem • Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports and to visualize various trends as per the business requirements • A suitable candidate should have 8+ years of experience in a similar role and should possess a go -getter attitude and a high degree of ownership skills. He/ She should be able to deal with ambiguity Key Responsibilities & Skillsets: • 8+ years of experience in analytics, PowerBI, SQL, ETL and associated data jobs. • Experience in insurance is mandatory (minimum of 3+ years) - P&C preferred • Excellent communication & presentation skills and should be able to communicate with client effectively • Experience in managing SQL codes and collaborating with customer on data model evolution • Good knowledge of Relational Data Base Management and SQL • Superior analytical and problem solving skills. Experience in independent insight generation is preferred • Should be able to work on a problem independently and prepare client ready deliverable with minimal or no supervision • Strong ability to translate functional specifications / requirements to technical requirements • Experience in PowerBI (DAX, PowerQuery etc.), is must to have. Should be comfortable Microsoft Fabric and other Azure components. • Proficient in creating complex queries, and automate processes across multiple tools • Strong experience in creating dashboards in Power BI and other visualization tool • Experience in Excel VBA is good to have Candidate Profile: • Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply • Strong and in-depth understanding of DE Fundamentals • Data analysis experience (Preferred) • Superior analytical and problem solving skills • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges Apply tot his job
