Candidates must be based in the U.S. Review client attest engagements, which include planning executing, directing, and reviewing financial statementsAssist with Internal Inspections on an annual basisStay up to date on generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentationObtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniquesAssist with various training projects provided during the yearSupervise, train and mentor associates and interns on the attest processResearch and analyze financial statements and related attest issuesDevelop a network of potential referral sources and identify opportunities to sell additional Prager Metis servicesPerform other job-related duties as necessaryIndustries the Company performs attest services include:Manufacturing & wholesaleEntertainmentGovernment Auditing, including single auditHUDFinancial Services, including Broker DealersCIRANonprofitEmployee Benefit PlansInternational Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Real EstateConstruction QualificationsMinimum Education Requirement- Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting or comparable subject Master’s Degree highly preferredCPA License requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience of public accounting, financial statement audits & SAARS engagementsA thorough understanding of GAAP, GAAS, SSAR’s, SSAE’s and Statutory Accounting PrinciplesExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to meet deadlines and work on time sensitive engagementsKnowledge of SEC and PCAOB auditing standards a plusThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
