The Placer Union High School District is seeking a dynamic and student-centered educational leader to serve as Principal of Alternative Education, overseeing Confluence High School and Maidu Virtual Charter Academy (MVCA). Both schools provide highly individualized learning experiences through innovative instructional models and the dedicated work of committed staff.
Confluence High School, the district's continuation school, operates two campuses located at Placer High School and Del Oro High School. Confluence utilizes internships, project-based learning, and real-world experiences to provide meaningful, relevant, and engaging instruction tailored to student needs.
MVCA is the district's online independent study program, offering multiple instructional strands to serve a diverse student population. In addition to supporting students seeking an alternative pathway to a high school diploma, MVCA provides robust A-G coursework for college-bound students and an Early College program designed to support completion of CSU and UC breadth requirements.
