PR Consultant
WHAT WE NEED:
I’m looking for an experienced PR/publicity professional for an ASAP consult to pressure-test a full book launch strategy that my agency has put together for a traditionally published speaker, author, and thought leader releasing later this year.
This is not press release work. What we need is someone with highly relevant, recent experience who can quickly spot gaps, sharpen the strategy, and be blunt about what’s realistic in this timeframe and help refine the strategy.
STRATEGY SCOPE INCLUDES
- Podcast guesting outreach system and follow-up cadence
- Preorder conversion plan with CTA and bonus concepts
- Launch team strategy to drive preorders and early reviews
- Bulk distribution pathways through leaders and organizations
- Content repurposing engine so every podcast turns into short-form clips and posts that compound weekly
- Website hub requirements to this as we are also launching a new website to support (conversion and tracking?)
WHAT WE'RE ASKING:
- 60–90 minute Zoom consult in the next few days
-Written feedback afterward in clear bullet points
- Pitch positioning and angles for podcast hosts and PR targets
- Stress test preorder incentives, launch team mechanics, review plan
- Prioritized recommendations on what to execute first vs cut
Ideal experience
- Recent book launch publicity in the last 12–24 months
- Podcast booking and outreach for authors or thought leaders, or brands that are relevant
- Preorder strategy and review velocity experience
- Agency or in-house publicist background preferred
