What You'll Do: Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience Excellence
Greet and engage customers and patients with warmth and professionalism, offering assistance with products and services to meet their healthcare needs
Resolve customer issues promptly and answer questions thoroughly to ensure a positive customer experience every time they visit
Model and share exceptional customer service best practices with all team members, demonstrating interpersonal habits such as friendly greetings, positive eye contact, and courteous behavior

Build lasting relationships with repeat customers by remembering their preferences and providing personalized recommendations
Pharmacy Operations Support
Process prescription transactions using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information accurately
Register sales on assigned cash register, providing customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
In accordance with state and federal regulations, assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy
Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, ensuring all data is entered correctly to prevent errors
Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs while verifying that medicines are correct
Check prescriptions for possible drug interactions and alert the pharmacist on duty to any concerns immediately
Support pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow within the pharmacy department
Handle telephone calls that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist, including inquiries to physicians
Process manual claims for third-party prescription program services in a timely and efficient manner
Perform other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager to support overall pharmacy operations
Retail Operations & Merchandising
Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service throughout their shopping experience
Recommend items for sale to customers and suggest trade-up and/or companion items to enhance their purchase
Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested
Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed with accuracy and professionalism
Guide customers to the Over-The-Counter (OTC) aisle when possible to assist them in locating products
Keep counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and organized to create an inviting shopping environment
Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records as required
Check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader
Complete resets and revisions as directed to maintain optimal product placement
Construct and maintain eye-catching displays including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise
Assist with proper separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement according to company policies
Support consumable item management using the first in, first out (FIFO) method and handle restock outs efficiently
Photo & Digital Services
Provide exceptional customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo services
Operate poster print equipment and creative machines with precision and creativity
Suggestively sell promotional photo products to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales
Assume web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus, filling orders, and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store
Inventory & Asset Protection
Support Pharmacy Department inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments
Maintain knowledge of Company asset protection techniques to prevent loss and shrinkage
File claims for warehouse overages, shortages, order errors, or damaged goods involving prescription drugs
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco products
Store Maintenance & Team Collaboration
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance to ensure clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance
Comply with all company policies and procedures while maintaining respectful relationships with coworkers
Has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment to operate efficiently
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned by management
Quality & Compliance
Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty immediately and adhere to Company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program
Review and comply with the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct
Strictly adhere to the arenaflex policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities
Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated PTCB training program and/or state-required certification/registration
What We're Looking For: Qualifications & Skills
Basic Qualifications
Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
Availability: Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
Legal Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
Retail Experience: Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting
Industry Knowledge: Prior work experience with arenaflex is preferred, giving you insight into our culture and operations
Mathematical Skills: Good math skills are essential to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications with precision
Technical Proficiency: Good computer skills to navigate pharmacy systems, point-of-sale terminals, and digital tools
Inventory Management: Knowledge of store inventory control procedures is preferred
