As a leader in the community‑focused pharmacy and retail space, we blend cutting‑edge healthcare services with a vibrant shopping experience. Our stores are more than just places to pick up a prescription—they’re hubs of wellness, convenience, and friendly expertise. By joining our team, you become part of a mission‑driven organization that values compassion, accuracy, and continuous growth.

Position Overview
The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate is the face of arenaflex’s pharmacy department. You will deliver a delightful, high‑quality customer experience while supporting licensed pharmacists in dispensing, counseling, and inventory management. This role demands a balanced mix of interpersonal finesse, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Greet every customer and patient with a warm, professional demeanor, proactively offering assistance with products, services, and health‑related inquiries.
Model and teach best‑practice service habits—eye contact, courteous language, and proactive help—to create a distinctive, delightful experience that aligns with arenaflex’s service traits.
Resolve customer issues promptly, answering questions about prescriptions, over‑the‑counter (OTC) items, and health programs to ensure satisfaction.
Guide customers to the appropriate aisles, especially the OTC section, helping them locate products efficiently.

Retail Operations & Sales Support

Operate the assigned cash register with speed and accuracy: process sales, collect cash, dispense change, and handle voids, returns, rain‑checks, refunds, and exchanges.
Recommend complementary or higher‑value items, encouraging cross‑selling that benefits both the customer and the store.
Maintain clean, well‑merchandised counters and shelves; execute inventory counts, price checks, and product resets as directed by the Store Manager or Shift Leader.
Assist with the creation and upkeep of promotional displays, seasonal setups, and sales‑driven fixtures.

Pharmacy Support & Prescription Processing

Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, retrieve, count, and pour pharmaceutical drugs, ensuring correct medication, dosage, and patient information.
Enter patient and drug data into arenaflex’s pharmacy system with precision, adhering to state and federal regulations.
Identify and immediately report prescription errors to the on‑duty pharmacist, following arenaflex’s Quality Improvement Program and Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
Handle telephone communications that do not require the pharmacist’s personal attention, including calls to physicians and third‑party prescription services.
Process manual claims for third‑party programs, correcting and resubmitting claims in a timely manner.
Support inventory management: order, unpack, verify, and store pharmaceutical shipments; file claims for overages, shortages, damaged goods, or billing discrepancies.
Maintain strict compliance with regulations governing controlled substances, alcohol, and tobacco products.
Participate in Good Faith Dispensing practices, ensuring each prescription is fulfilled responsibly and ethically.

Store Maintenance & Ancillary Services

Assist in separating raw from pre‑cooked foods, following safety protocols for product placement and stock rotation (FIFO).
Provide photo‑center services: digital passport photos, poster printing, creative machine assistance, and suggestive selling of promotional photo products.
Manage web‑pickup orders through Picture Care Plus: monitor incoming orders, pick items accurately, and deliver to waiting customers.
Maintain a tidy, organized store environment—both interior and exterior—to reflect arenaflex’s brand standards.
Uphold asset protection techniques and report any suspicious activity per arenaflex policy.

Training, Certification & Professional Development

Earn and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification via arenaflex‑approved training programs or state‑required registration.
Complete mandatory Pharmacy Practice Learning (PPL) modules, continuing education credits, and any corporate‑assigned training to stay current on healthcare trends.
Participate in regular skill‑building workshops, cross‑training opportunities, and leadership development pathways offered by arenaflex.

Essential Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Strong numerical aptitude for accurate medication counting, measuring, and weighing.
