Key Responsibilities:
Conduct electronic reviews of escalated cases against medical policy criteria to determine medical necessity and appropriateness
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to advise on high-risk cases and drive exceptional patient care
Develop and implement protocols and guidelines to ensure consistency in the review process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project initiatives and improve member care
Requirements:
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
5+ years of clinical experience in direct patient care
Board certification in a specialty recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association
Active medical state licensure
