As a Part-Time Remote Systems Engineer, you will be working under broad direction, providing expert support, analysis, and research into complex problems and processes relating to the subject matter. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expert support on high-level project teams, offering technical direction, interpretation, and alternatives. Demonstrate superior written and oral communications skills, thinking independently to develop innovative solutions. Apply technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field to provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develop imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions consistent with organizational objectives. Work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions. Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects, managing System Engineering program artifacts and writing system engineering documentation. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you must possess: 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience. SATCOM experience, with a strong understanding of its applications and principles. A Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution. Experience writing system engineering documentation and managing System Engineering program artifacts. The ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. US Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications and Skills To stand out as a candidate, you should have: Knowledge of SATCOM modems, Teleports, and Proliferated LEO SATCOM. INCOSE certification, demonstrating your expertise in systems engineering. CISSP certification, showcasing your knowledge of information security. Experience with Model-Based System Engineering, a valuable asset in this role.
