Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks PartTime Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program studying at our Irwindale CA campus. #onsite You will be mentoring students in person at an inpatient clinical setting in your choice of one of the following areas: • North and South Los Angeles County • Orange County • Riverside County • San Bernadino County • Santa Clarita Valley • San Fernando Valley Required commitment is one 812/hour shift per week for each 8week session at one of our clinical partner sites. We are presently accepting applications to meet potential future need in the following areas of specialization: • Adult Health I&II (MedSurg) • Advanced Adult Health (MedSurg) • Complex Health (Critical Care) • Community Health • Capstone Final Practicum • Fundamentals • Maternal Child • Mental Health • Pediatrics Responsibilities: • Develops and provides students with an approved Adtalem Global Education syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus and which includes the terminal course objectives. • Organizes prepares and regularly revises and update all course materials. • Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and courserelated software including Websites email and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students. • Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students provide clarity and improve student learning. • Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives assignment/examinations dates and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories. • Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. • Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams and provide timely feedback to students. • Performs other duties as assigned • Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications : • A Masters in Nursing (MSN) or doctoral degree (DNP/PhD) in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university • An unencumbered California nursing license • BLS Certification is required • At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse Additional Information : In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country t he expected compensation rate for this position is $65 per hour for the first 8hours per day and $97.50 per hour overtime for any hours worked over 8 per day.
