Organization : Results for America Role : 2026 Summer Intern Location : Remote; flexible, within the United States Organization Overview Results for America (RFA) helps government leaders find, fund, and implement solutions that work to accelerate upward economic mobility and improve lives. We work with federal, state, and local government decision-makers to increase their use of evidence and data in budget, policy, and program decisions. Internship Overview RFA’s 2026 summer internship program will run for approximately 10 weeks, from Tuesday June 2 - Friday, August 7, 2026. Over the course of this internship, all interns will be immersed in RFA’s programmatic and policy work by supporting one of RFA's teams in achieving their strategic goals. Interns will work on various projects during their time at RFA, while also enjoying a range of learning and professional development opportunities. Interns will work virtually and will be expected to use their own laptop equipment. Interns will be assigned RFA email addresses for the duration of their summer internship. Team Overview The Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team at Results for America focuses on building the tools, systems and capabilities of our teams to use data and evidence to improve their programs and RFA’s overall impact. We work to design and implement effective measurement systems, evaluate program outcomes, and facilitate continuous learning. By ensuring that decisions are grounded in rigorous data and analysis, the MEL team supports better outcomes, aiming to drive measurable impact and promote more effective program implementation. historically underserved populations — not just improve aggregate numbers. Internship Responsibilities - Scope of Work The Intern will provide research and evaluation support to RFA’s Measurement, Evaluation and Learning [MEL] team. Their work will support advances to RFA's mission by maintaining clean data, quantifying lives impacted through evidence-based investments, and generating research tied to RFA's 2023–2026 scale goals. This project will validate investments spanning kindergarten readiness, 3rd grade reading, postsecondary completion, and living wage pathways. The key responsibilities will include: Conduct data entry and cleaning in Salesforce and maintain “lives impacted” data to ensure accuracy and consistency Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including assessing impact data-and analyzing downstream outcomes of evidence-based investments Support correlational and predictive analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making Assess RFA "”Proof Points” and answer key research and evaluation questions tied to RFA’s 2023–2026 strategic plan and scale goals Conduct analysis of RFA’s implementation data to examine how outcomes vary across different populations and contexts Retrieve and analyze local-level “cradle-to-career” data for select org scale plan areas Internship Reporting Relationship The Summer Intern will report to the VP, Measurement Evaluation and Learning Internship requirements RFA offers summer internships to individuals who are at least 18 years old and who have: Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills; Proficiency with GoogleSuite and Microsoft Office Suite Alignment with Results for America’s mission and vision ; and Qualitative data analysis Quantitative data analysis (descriptive required, predictive preferred, Desk review and/or policy analysis), Data Entry Summer Intern applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Pay Rate Individuals with 1-4 years of postsecondary education or relevant work experience in government or nonprofit organizations will be paid $27/hour. Individuals with 5 or more years of postsecondary education or relevant work experience in government or nonprofit organizations will be paid $32/hour. Precise weekly work schedules/hours will be determined in coordination with the Intern’s supervisor. Summer Interns are not eligible for RFA benefits.
