Job Overview
The incumbent will be responsible for requesting, following up, obtaining, and validating authorizations, referrals, and notifications with appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes within the required timelines for Radiation Oncology and Oncology Infusion. This position involves working in a call center environment, meeting quality metrics, and coordinating patient flow while maintaining knowledge of insurance requirements, billing, and revenue cycle operations.
Qualifications
• High School diploma, GED, certificate, training, or experience.
Additional Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in validating/obtaining insurance authorizations.
• Completion of Association of Community Cancer Centers, Prior Authorization Webinars within 3 months of hire, with annual updates.
• Successful completion of Patient Access training.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Basic mathematical skills, detail-oriented, organized, compassionate, and excellent communication skills.
• Preferred:
Knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, authorization guidelines for Radiation Oncology and Oncology Infusion, and proficiency with computer applications and EMR systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines such as HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole is a plus.

This is a full-time, entry-level position within the healthcare provider industry, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, with a salary range of $23.00-$28.85 per hour.
