Nurse Practitioner Team Leader

Join us on our mission to reverse metabolic diseases in 1 Billion people.Reporting into the Associate CMO, the Virta Medical Group is searching for a nurse practitioner leader to lead and mentor a team of 8-10 nurse practitioners while seeing a part-time panel of Virta patients (0.6 FTE equivalent). The goal of the Virta Medical Group is to provide exemplary clinical care to our members while partnering with our counterparts in the Virta Health Corporation. This leader will manage the people and processes on their team to achieve the practice’s goal efficiently and effectively. The team leader does this by:Providing quality oversight for medical care deliverySupporting effective growth of the medical staff and the professional development of the VMS members whom they leadFostering effective collaboration with key departmentsLeading strategic clinical initiativesResponsibilitiesThe nurse practitioner in this role will lead by example, seeing a panel of Virta patients and helping Continuity Clinicians on their team improve the quality of care they provide to Virta patients. Specific responsibilities include:Quality Oversight for Medical Care DeliveryFollow up and execute on improving workflows critical for safety and efficacyMonitoring of quality and safetyMonthly review of clinician quality and efficiency metrics with team membersClinical QA of team members (and others’) clinical performanceGrowth and Development of Team MembersDevelop a highly functional team of clinicians, further preparing high performers for leadership roles, while working proactively to performance manage those not meeting expectationsManage clinicians on your team, with responsibilities to include:Oversee onboarding of new Continuity Clinicians joining the team.Regularly connect via 1:1 meetings with team members to discuss challenges, ideas for improvement, provide feedbackRegular virtual and occasional in-person team meetings to build cohesion and advance common projectsReview of quarterly cross-team feedbackSemiannual performance reviewsFoster Effective CollaborationParticipate in regular reviews of clinical eventsWork collaboratively with other team members matrixed or directly reporting to their team, including RNs and other team members.Responsible for keeping the other team members connected to the team and the Virta mission/company.Biweekly review of intake quality and patient feedback as appropriateRecruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new team membersLead Strategic InitiativesLead strategic initiatives across Virta within a specific clinical program area.Virta Clinical Initiatives: A key component of the role is to lead clinical initiatives critical to the delivery of great patient care and the execution of the business. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $114,000 - $132,000.
