n8n Automation Developer — AI Workflow System
Fixed Price Project | Budget: $350–$650 | Timeline: 2–3 Weeks
OVERVIEW
I'm building an AI-powered automation system for a niche service industry. The system will automatically respond to new inbound contacts, engage them in a qualifying conversation via SMS, and book an appointment — all without manual intervention.
This is a well-scoped project. A full technical architecture document will be shared with shortlisted candidates under NDA before work begins.
WHAT YOU'LL BUILD
Phase 1 consists of 4 core workflows:
- Inbound contact trigger → fetch record from CRM → send to AI API → deliver personalized SMS within 60 seconds
- 2-way SMS conversation handler: receive reply → retrieve conversation history → AI generates response → send reply → log to CRM and storage
- Appointment booking: AI returns structured output triggering calendar event creation and confirmation messages to both parties
- Escalation alert: flag high-priority contacts and notify the human operator via SMS or email with a conversation summary
TECH STACK
- Automation platform: n8n Cloud
- AI: Claude API (Anthropic) — REST API calls, structured JSON response handling
- SMS / Business Phone: QUO (Formerly OpenPhone) (outbound + inbound webhook, shared inbox)
- CRM: Industry-specific platform (webhook triggers, - API read/write — details shared under NDA)
- Storage/memory: Airtable
- Calendar: Google Calendar API
- Email: SendGrid
WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR
- Demonstrated n8n experience — examples of previous workflows required to apply
- Comfortable with REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON response handling
- Experience with at least 2–3 tools in the stack above
- Clear communicator — I am non-technical and need things explained plainly
- Will document all workflows at handoff so I can maintain them independently
SCOPE & BUDGET
Fixed price bids preferred for Phase 1. Estimated budget $350–650 depending on experience and approach. Phase 2 (additional features) will be offered immediately to the right candidate.
