Locations Available: Chicago Area
The Multicraft Technician has responsibilities to maintain, troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position requires proficiency in multiple skill clusters, such as electrical controls, PLC troubleshooting, 480v 3 phase motors, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes. This person will perform medium to high-level machine systems troubleshooting and repair, and provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
Qualifications/Skills:
Must Have:
ā¢ 8+ years in industrial manufacturing
ā¢ Food manufacturing background needed
ā¢ PLC troubleshooting, inputs/outputs, and changeouts of programs
ā¢ Experience with Factory Talk or similar HMI software
ā¢ Photo eyes, sensors, limit switches, and solenoids
ā¢ Repairing and troubleshooting conveyor systems (line controls)
ā¢ Mechanical Systems (bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes)
ā¢ Hydraulics & Pneumatics
ā¢ High and Low Voltage
ā¢ Ability to operate a multimeter to diagnose a variety of electrical issues
ā¢ Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
ā¢ Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.

ā¢ Ability to pull wire and bend conduit
