Mortgage Loan Originator - Remote Florida

• Engage with prospective clients to understand their financial goals and explain available mortgage options clearly and confidently
• Collect, review, and verify all necessary documentation to ensure compliance with FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines and Fair Housing regulations
• Conduct thorough credit analysis and assess borrower eligibility using mortgage servicing and underwriting standards
• Utilize mortgage software or other financial tools to process loan applications efficiently
• Negotiate terms with clients while ensuring adherence to TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and other federal regulations
• Collaborate with loan processors, underwriters, escrow officers, and other team members to facilitate smooth loan origination and processing workflows
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking, escrow procedures, and current market trends to provide accurate advice and solutions
• Perform basic math calculations, including 10 key typing tasks, to accurately input data and analyze financial information
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries promptly and professionally throughout the loan lifecycle
• Proven experience as a loan officer or mortgage originator with a strong background in financial sales and loan origination processes min 1yr
• Comprehensive understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting procedures, and mortgage servicing practices
• Proficiency with financial software, or similar tools for processing loans and managing client data
• Strong negotiation skills combined with excellent customer service capabilities
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, TILA compliance, and banking industry standards
• Ability to perform credit analysis accurately using basic math skills and financial data interpretation
• Experience working with contracts, escrow procedures, and mortgage documentation is highly desirable
• Exceptional communication skills to clearly explain complex financial concepts to clients of diverse backgrounds
