Medical Debt Collection Representative
Medical Business Bureau, LLC, a revenue cycle management firm, is seeking experienced medical debt collectors capable of handling a high call volume. While our corporate office is based in Park Ridge, IL, we currently offer the option of remote work from home, provided you have access to high-speed internet. We are specifically looking for full-time individuals, preferably bilingual, who can efficiently secure patient payments.
Responsibilities:
ย Contact consumers via telephone or in writing to collect delinquent medical bills assigned for collection.
ย Communicate with patients or their designated representatives professionally to address and resolve any issues or concerns.
ย Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the medical collections industry and the handling of private health information.
ย Maintain detailed and accurate records of communication history for assigned accounts, documenting information about consumers and collection efforts.
ย Manage individual queues and work within a dialing system.
ย Achieve a minimum of 150 calls handled per day.
Qualifications and Skills:
ย Prior experience in medical debt collection is valuable, with the ability to negotiate, analyze, and resolve problems effectively.
ย Reliable, self-directed team player.
ย The ability to work at a fast pace as well as type at least 40 WPM.
ย Strong attention to detail and proficient PC skills such as Microsoft Office, collection software and MS Teams.
ย Familiarity with City, State, and Federal laws governing the medical debt collection industry is a plus.
ย Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is a plus.
Salary:
The salary for this position ranges from $31,200 to $37,440 depending on experience and qualifications. As well as a Commission Program.
