Medical Coding CPC Exam Prep Tutor (Remote)
We are seeking an experienced CPC Exam Preparation Tutor to work one-on-one with an adult learner preparing for the AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam. This role is focused specifically on exam readiness and passing the CPC, not general coursework or introductory instruction. What You’ll Do • Help the learner interpret CPC exam scenarios and questions • Teach efficient navigation of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codebooks • Strengthen cross-referencing, guideline usage, and code selection logic • Coach test-taking strategy, pacing, and accuracy under timed conditions • Reinforce high-frequency CPC exam concepts • Provide clear, structured, patient instruction in a virtual setting Learner Background • Completed an online medical coding program (Cengage) • Stronger in medical terminology than codebook navigation • Motivated, but needs exam-specific strategy and confidence building Required Qualifications • Hands-on experience with the CPC exam (passed CPC or taught CPC prep) • Strong practical knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS • Ability to teach how to find codes, not just explain theory • Comfortable tutoring adults remotely • Organized, reliable, and exam-oriented in approach Preferred (Not Required) • Prior tutoring or exam-prep experience • Experience supporting diverse learning styles • Familiarity with vocational or career-focused learners Position Details • Remote / virtual sessions • Short-term, exam-focused engagement • Flexible scheduling • Paid engagement through an established vocational services vendor Apply tot his job
