Perform skilled welding and fabrication work on locomotives and railcars according to industry and company standards.
Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and identify any necessary repairs or maintenance.
Operate and maintain various tools and equipment, including welding machines, grinders, and cutting torches.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any repairs or modifications made.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate work and troubleshoot issues.
Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in welding and fabrication techniques.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to quality control and environmental regulations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of materials.
Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
